Simple Steps to Clean Wooden Toys
Cleaning wooden toys is easy and safe if you follow the right steps. First, you can use a non-toxic cleaner, such as warm water mixed with environmentally friendly dish soap (1 part of soap to 4 parts of water) or a natural disinfectant solution of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water).

You can also use a damp cloth to wipe off dust and dirt for daily maintenance. Make sure not to soak the cloth in water.

Always avoid submerging wooden toys in water as it can cause changes, warping, and damage to the grain, making it more likely to break.

Additionally, drying in the sun is great for killing germs, but strong sunlight or prolonged exposure can cause color to fade and crack, so keep an eye on it.

For stains, try using a stronger solution of vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 1 part water) or light sanding with fine sandpaper (for unpainted toys only).

Lastly, after cleaning, rub a little olive oil into the wood with a soft cloth or treat it with all-natural beeswax to nourish and protect the surface.

Do not use wood polish or varnish to make wooden toys shine. These products will make the toys toxic, which could be dangerous for children.
